Position Summary:
This position will manage the cash receipts and revenue
recognition functions within the organization's established
policies and in accordance with current GAAP literature and will
be considered the internal expert and technical reference on
revenue recognition matters related our revenue. The successful
candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively in a
team environment interacting with all levels in the operations
and finance organizations, as well as with external vendors such
as the Company's external auditors.
Key point person on the development of a new automated revenue recognition process
Serve as subject matter expert and liaison with our merchant processors and our organization
Exercise judgment within defined policies and authoritative literature to determine appropriate action related to revenue-related transactions
Implement revenue recognition reporting and process improvements based upon industry trends, authoritative literature and business objectives.
Monitor relevant US GAAP and SEC developments to ensure revenue recognition policies and procedures are in compliance.
Serve as the internal technical accounting expert for the product team during the development of new products and pricing structures, including review of raw data files at month end for accurate revenue and product term tracking.
Work closely with the FP&A team on analyzing the impact of pricing changes and the introduction of new products
Responsible for all chargeback reviews and reconciliations
Manage all revenue recognition matters with the external audit firm for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Develop improvements and enhancements within our payments processing cycle
Responsible for overall lead in our revenue cycle (reconciliation of payments to revenues recognized)
Manage compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
